You may have heard of a little band called The Condo Fucks… There’s been a lot of speculation as to who’s who in this little outfit. Well, we can assure you: we know who you are and we do not approve.

This is pretty wack, if you ask me. What will they do next, make a record that makes fun of all the kids, putting on shows at the local VFW and printing their own fliers? Yo La Tango and “The Condo Fucks” ought to pick on somebody their own size.
I love Yo La Tengo, but this argument is clear and irrefutable. If they’re going to take the piss, they at least owe New London a rock n roll show (we will cheer and sing along) and they owe New London’s bands a hearing. Rock n roll is still fun here. And then I will buy them a beer.
Until then: Fuck the Condo Fucks.
Thing is, the Condo Fucks are actually pretty good. I know ‘cuz we got a sneak peak at the record listening party they (Matador) had us do, in actual New London, CT. None of the actual band members attended. That’s the part that irks me, seriously, if I had a record listening party I’d Fuckin’ be there. Outside of that, ride the high. If these guys are blowing any kinda smoke up NL bands’ asses, and they do nothing with it, well, they’ve made their point. If only I was indie…

Does this mean the Condo Fucks are the most successful band from New London? Something must be done about this, support Conversion Party!
What irks me is that dudes are from Hoboken, NJ – not exactly the coolest town in the world, either. I dig YLT, and this doesn’t really make me like them any less, but it’s a bummer to see a band from a small town that has managed to achieve some success use that success to take shots at a town that has never received the attention it probably deserves.

For those of you who don’t speak/read Spanish, like myself, Elio says: “I’m proud to be the inspiration for this band. The name of s is a dishonor! As a Venezuelan I would never say I’m from Peru, so why would this band (??) from Hoboken pretend to be from New London? And then not to show up? Shameful!”
